What a lovely weekend down the line for one of NZ’s premier street art/mural painting events, Graffiato in Taupo. My mural depicts the goddess Aphrodite as a European tourist in Taupo, referencing the renaissance painting Botticelli’s Venus.
I’ve manged to get photos of a couple of my pieces from a while back and some fresh ones.. All these murals graffiti art paintings are in Auckland.
These panels are at Manurewa West Primary School:
This banner was for a company called Stowers exhibition stand backdrop, featuring caricatures of their staff… not something I do too often! This native flax scenery-scape is in the back carpark of Ibis Hotel, Auckland Airport:
And lastly, a comic fan commissioned me to paint some classic characters on these panels:
Spring is starting to spring, which means outdoor mural season is nearly here! I was fortunate to go do some graffiti art in a chain of shops in the warmth of Hong Kong, and plenty of other bits and pieces here too…
A background for Buddha in a backyard:
A power box outside Edukid’s creche in Manukau, with part of a large fence mural visible behind it:
A blackboard down at Conservatory bar:
And a super duper birthday banner for a lucky kid:
